And the Winning Theme is...

pattyforeman87

Prom is just around the corner and students are all curious about what the theme will be this year.

The winning theme was Casino/Vegas, with Enchanted Forest/Garden and Neon Lights being the runners up.

Mr. Miller, head of the prom committee, sent out a Google form to all juniors and seniors on February 6th, asking for prom theme ideas. He got a total of 11 ideas, some which he was able to combine with others. Just days later, he sent out yet another form with a list of choices for students to vote for. When asked how many students voted, he stated that “only 146 students voted,” not too big of a number. This was his first time using a Google form to vote for the theme because he tried to ask the student council to get others’ opinions with no luck, and he says that it did very well and he will be doing it again next year. When asked how he plans to decorate, he said he will be having art club make signs and will order some table pieces due to certain restrictions at the chosen location.

Prom tickets will be $25 a piece, with after-prom prices still being decided.

As for students still in need of a gown but don’t have the money for it, The Psalm 139 Prom Dress Boutique in town, located at 233 W. Church Street, is offering to provide any students in need of a prom dress with one. All students need to do is set up an appointment with the boutique to get one.
