Happy 2 Be Drug Free!

pattyforeman87

A few weeks ago, the Marion Crawford TI held the annual drug free rally in downtown Marion. Junior, Nyla Holmes and Senior, Trinity Keith, say that the rally was an event where “all the schools came together to celebrate being drug free.” Holmes also tells us that they “had people come out to talk about their experience of being in TI.”

After being asked how the rally was, Trinity responded with “Good and very fun. My favorite part was playing games and dancing with different people!” Although we only talked to two students from HHS, Harding wasn’t the only school that attended this rally! River Valley, Pleasant, Elgin, Tri-Rivers, and Ridgedale were also a part of this drug free celebration.

This event wasn’t just to congratulate these students on their sobriety, but was also a place to meet new people. Both Trinity and Nyla, who have both been in TI for years, say they met many new people from many different schools. Just because games and dancing were the activities Keith mentioned, there were competitions, raffles, and singing as well! To sum up this event, the Harding High students as well as students from other schools, had a great time! Remember, it’s never too late to get involved. If you are interested in joining TI, talk to Mr. Godfrey in room 135 (attached to the library).
