Ms. Loxley is beginning her second year of teaching. Initially, she taught a 9-12th grade career tech class at an international Vietnamese school for six months after graduating college but soon got a job at a high school near Toledo, teaching grades seven through twelve.
When a new position opened up at Harding for an Agricultural Business program, Ms. Loxley decided to seize the opportunity, thinking she would be a good fit for the teaching position. She wanted to teach about “...more of the urban agriculture experience, versus your traditional [agriculture].”
So far her favorite part about the school is that “...the staff has been very welcoming and everyone really seems to get along and be…friendly!” She also loves the diversity amongst the students but says that the class size can be overwhelming at times.
