Ms.Geckler is one of the new teachers at Harding High School.
Ms.Geckler has been teaching for four years and student taught for one year “but four years officially teaching.”
Before coming to Harding, Ms. Geckler worked at Grant Middle School for three years and before Grant, she taught at South Western City Schools.
Ms.Geckler didn’t actually plan on becoming a teacher. When she went to college “I didn’t go in for teaching.” During college she started volunteering at a school. Then she realized she really enjoyed that experience and then she decided to become a teacher.
If Ms. Geckler didn’t choose to become a teacher, she would be a journalist “I’ve always enjoyed writing which is why I became an English teacher.”
Ms.Geckler teaches English 1 and English 2, and so far, Ms.Geckler is enjoying Harding.
