Ms. Kenna Holt is a new English teacher here at Harding, teaching English 2 and Pre-AP English 2. Originally she’s from Pataskala, Ohio, but has spent the last 5 years living in Bowling Green where she attended Bowling Green State University.
“So far I am really enjoying being here! I have made a lot of great friends and met a lot of great students.” she says, keeping up with her childhood dream of becoming a teacher. Growing up, she’s always wanted to be a teacher and provide others with a safe place at school, something she’d experienced herself. “...school was my safe place. I knew that I wanted to be that for someone else once I had the opportunity.”. If she hadn’t been a teacher however, Ms. Holt could’ve possibly seen herself doing social work, although no other profession has ever interested her as much as education. She was drawn to Harding after realizing the message that our school represents, such as the “Love Your School” motto. She also relocated to the area to be closer to family.
In her free time, Ms. Holt enjoys spending time with her son Bennett, who is turning 1 very soon. They spend time at the park very frequently! She’s not currently involved in any extracurricular activities here at Harding, but would eventually like to be more involved.
