Paige Powers is a senior at Harding and this is her first year with The Herald. When asked why she decided to take journalism this year, she replied, “I want to actually major in journalism [and] minor in African American studies, probably go into, like, Civil Rights … and stuff like that.” Right now, though, she has her mind set on becoming an Iron Athlete; already with volleyball under her belt, she aims for basketball and track as well. When she isn’t in school or playing hard at a sport, you might find her writing or painting. After high school, she wants to go to college, probably play a little volleyball while she is there, and go into Civil Rights afterward.
