Mr. Sabo is a first year teacher here at Harding, and it’s his first year ever teaching. He teaches 9th grade Physical Science. He attended college at The Ohio State University Mansfield campus.
When asked why he chose to become a teacher, he replied “I had a teacher in high school my senior year and who just pushed me… She was the first teacher that ever truly pushed me as a person and as a student.” Sabo said he wanted to do for a student what his teacher in high school did for him.
If he wasn’t a teacher he would be a full time sports podcast or a radio host. So far he has enjoyed his first year at Harding. He said, “I’ve built a lot of good relationships with kids so far and all the staff have been awesome.” Sabo claimed that the only downside is the drive he has to make from Galion.
In high school, despite the fact that he is currently teaching science, his favorite subject was social studies. An interesting fact about Mr. Sabo is that he is a die-hard sports fan and is a huge Steallers and Buckeyes fan. He also has 4 cats and a dog.
