Don’t you ever wish an after school club felt more right for you? Or maybe there was some place you could perform jokes instead of songs? Well once upon a time all the way back in 2013, this wish was a reality, with Comedy Club.
Comedy club was started in 2013 by Mr. Seymour. He said “ I basically approached Students with this idea to start a club where we do improv comedy. They were into it and started bringing some of their friends, and that's pretty much how it started. I recognized that some students were funny.”
After that the club would live strong until about 2019, until Covid hit. But Covid wasn’t the only thing to deal the final blow that landed this club in the grave.
Mr. Seymour says “so for one I started this club... it was something I did on my own because it was a passion of mine and I saw the students really loved it, so once I didn't have as much time available, it sort of was not something I had the availability to continue on, and it was just something I did. There wasn't really anyone to pick it up.”
