Many clubs here at Harding have thrived, succeeded, and overall had a great turnout; while others failed, barely had any people in them, and basically died.
With the variety of clubs, many students have the opportunity to explore what they are interested in and see what similarities they have with their classmates.
Clubs that are currently active include:
Academic Challenge - Mr. Hall
Art Club - Mr. Miller
Chess Club - Mr. Crnic
Eco Club - Mrs. Panamarczuk
Key Club - Mrs. Garret
Leading Ladies - Mrs. Coleman
National Honors Society - Mrs. Flock & Mr. Crnic
Pride Club - Mrs. Stevens & Mr. King
Student Council - Mr. Kash
Teen Institute - Mr. Godfrey
Varsity H - Mr. McCrery
Venus - Mrs. Panamarczuk
Each club is run by a teacher (usually held in their rooms) but they can also have student leaders.
Some clubs even go on field trips, such as Eco Club, which went on a trip to the Zoo a few weeks ago. Academic Challenge attends competitions against other schools.
A brand new club that has started recently is called Venus. It is a club that is an all inclusive space to embrace people’s femininity and everyone is welcome. Another new club that has started recently is the Chess Club.
If you are ever interested in joining a club, ask your classmates, students, and even guidance for any questions you may have.
