Anti-Bullying Week
February 14-18 will be anti-bullying week here at Harding.
Student Council will sponsor a variety of activities including an HQ poster contest. HQ’s will design an anti-bullying poster with donuts awarded to the winning homeroom. Candy grams will be sold the week prior for $1 as a fundraiser for the group’s leadership retreat. Each day of that week will have a dress up theme. Lastly, students will be able to sign an anti-bullying pledge—similar to the Red Ribbon Week pledge— at lunch with a drawing at the end of each lunch period.
Student council created this event in response to students reaching out about bullying here at Harding. The students want to bring awareness to the issue as it still happens but in a much more subtle way.
