Christmas break is one of the many things students look forward to in the school year. After the many semester exams that high school students take (while elementary students have parties, stupid kids), they definitely need some time off in order to fix their sleep schedules, mental health, and spend time with their friends and family. Now, what can you do with your friends and family? That’s what this article is for of course! Here are some things to do on Christmas break near you:
Snow Trails (Mansfield, OH) - Go snow tubing and/or skiing in Mansfield for some great fun. They also have concessions and really good hot chocolate!
Christmas Lights Drive-Thru at the Fairgrounds- Buy a ticket and drive through the Christmas lights decorated around the fairgrounds.
Zoo Lights at the Columbus Zoo - I feel like everybody knows this, but the Zoo Lights are definitely a must-go-to visit to see animals and drink a lot of hot chocolate.
Sledding at the Memorial - I’m sure you’ve done this before or seen a lot of little kids sledding, but it is very fun to do with friends.
Sledding at Lincoln Park - There is a really big hill at Lincoln Park that is really fun to sled on. It is recommended to go when there is a lot of snow, of course.
“Tis the Season” Gift Shop (Millersburg, OH) - Visit this gift shop to find many Christmas decorations and gifts for friends and family.
Fear Columbus Haunted House - Krampus Exhibit (Columbus, OH) - This is a new attraction. It’s a haunted maze/house that is based on the Krampus movie. If you love haunted houses and Christmas, visit Fear Columbus!
Obviously, there are many more different things to do for Christmas break, or you can simply stay in bed and catch up on some sleep you’ve missed. Maybe even watch a few Christmas movies while you’re at it. Have a good winter break, Harding!
