Winter Sports Update

Here a few quick highlights from winter sports.

Gymnastics

Two competitions. Autumn Fitzgerald was All-Around Champion at Perrysburg Meet and All-Around Runner Up at the Beauty and the Beast meet at Findlay.

Wrestling

Won senior night match v. Centerburg 57-12, won the Northmor Super Tri for the first time in over 10 years, and currently remains undefeated in dual matches this season. Finished 4th of 13 teams at the Fredericktown Invite earlier this month. Finished 15th of 39 schools at the 50th Harding Classic over winter break. Drake Cerny won the championship at 126# at the Classic.

Girls Bowling

Currently 7-7 overall, 3-3 in MOAC (3rd place). Won the Route 4 Battle Bowl v. Sandusky, earning the golden pin. Finished 8th of 24 teams at the prestigious Buckeye Classic in December.

Boys Bowling

Currently 12-2 overall, 6-0 in MOAC (1st place). Won the prestigious Buckeye Classic in December. JV boys bowlers won the Bucyrus Redmen tournament earlier this month.

Girls Basketball

Currently 7-8 overall and 5-3 in MOAC play. Currently in 4th place in MOAC. Justice Steinman-Ross has a chance at hitting 1,000 points before season's end.

Boys Basketball

Currently 8-5 overall and 7-1 in MOAC play. Currently in 1st place in MOAC. Wes Stokes won Fahey Athlete of the Month for December 2021.

Boys and Girls Swimming

Each won their 4-team senior night meet this week (1/19) v. Pleasant, Wellington and Mt. Gilead at the Y.
